Lotus Clinical Research, a California-based CRO that specializes in central nervous system research, inked a partnership deal with Trialogics to use its clinical trial software to improve data collection.
The two companies have already been working together for several years, and Lotus Clinical Research President Bill Martin said in a June 8 press release that the collaboration “has helped to reduce interview bias across our trials, a critical factor in CNS (central nervous system) studies.” Martin added that Trialogics’ services have “optimized processes and improved the quality of our trial delivery.”
Financial details of the new partnership deal weren’t announced.
Trialogics’ platform collects data via a cloud-based platform or through various mobile devices that it manages. Chris Gropp, Trialogics’ chief executive, said these types of partnerships need to continue to grow “as technology becomes more of a focus in clinical trials.”
Such partnerships have become more of the norm in the CRO world of late. In late May, Veeva Systems signed a deal with the biopharma UCB to improve the patient experience in digital clinical trials, and Alcanza Clinical Research partnered with software provider Climb to streamline digital clinical trials for sites and patients.
In the first week of June, the Precision Cancer Consortium signed up cancer patient matchmaker Massive Bio to help identify potential candidates for clinical trials.
